Learn more about how dancers move through our studio. We value every student’s individual dance journey are here to provide families with the necessary support and guidance throughout this process.

 

Register for Classes

Find the classes for your dancer by their age as of September 30th.  Classes run August 12th-June 9th.

3-4 years old

Tuition  Information

Monthly Tuition is based on total hours of class taken per week for each student. If more than one family member is enrolled we offer a family discount, add the rate for each student together and deduct 10% from the total.  Tuition Rate Schedule

  • Monthly tuition is based on total hours of classes taken per week.
    August and June tuition are half, and collected at the time of registration. If the student should drop before June, the tuition for June will be refunded.
  • Annual registration fee of $30 is due for each student. This is non-refundable, if the student should drop.
  • Tuition will AUTOMATICALLY be charged to your card the first week of each month, through May 2023, unless other arrangements are made for payment. A $20 late fee will be applied if tuition is not paid by the 15th of each month.
  • Tuition amount remains the same each month, as we average 4 classes per month over the dance year (½ August, September through May, and ½ June).
  • Family Discount: If more than one family member is enrolled, add the rate for each student together and deduct 10% from the total.
  • Make-ups for missed classes and cancellations due to weather or illness can be taken with any similar class in the same age range. Please ask front desk to arrange a make up class. No refunds for missed classes.
  • Tuition may NOT be prorated for missed classes.

Pre-Ballet

A pre-ballet class is a fun and engaging introductory dance class for young children. Through playful activities and creative exercises, children learn the fundamental positions and movements of ballet, developing their coordination, spatial awareness, and self-expression.

  • Pre-Ballet classes will perform a ballet dance in the June Storyline Recital and will purchase one costume.
  • Girls dress code: Pink or black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, pink or black chiffon ballet skirt. (All items sold at studio.)
  • Boys dress code: White T-shirt, White socks, black athletic pants or jazz pants or sweatpants, black ballet shoes (not sold at studio).

5-6 years old

These classes are for dancers ages 5-6yrs old, as of September 30th

Ballet/Tap 1-2 (age 5-6)

These classes are ballet and tap with an  emphasis is on self-discipline, body placement, acquiring strength and flexibility, learning ballet and tap vocabulary, and developing poise and self confidence in a nurturing environment.

  • Ballet/Tap performs 2 dances in the June recital and will purchase a ballet costume and rent a tap costume.
  • Dancers age 5 are in Level 1 and in their “introductory” year to the skills.  Dancers age 6 are in Level 2 and are in their “mastery” year of the skills of this level.
  • Girls dress code: Black short sleeve leotard, Pink Footed tights, Pink or Black Chiffon Ballet Skirt, Pink ballet shoes, Black Buckle Tap Shoe (ribbon tie tap shoes not allowed). All of these items are sold at the studio.
  • Boys dress code: White T-shirt, White socks, black athletic pants or jazz pants or sweatpants, black ballet shoes (not sold at studio).

Tumbling/Acrobatics 1-2 (age 5-6)

A dynamic class where children develop strength, flexibility, and coordination through fun tumbling and acrobatics.

  • Acro 1-2 does not perform in the June recital and will not purchase a costume
  • Dress Code: Fitted clothes for moving.

Hip Hop 2-4 (age 6)

A vibrant and energetic dance class where kids groove to the rhythm, learn cool moves, and express themselves through hip hop music and dance.

  • Hip Hop 1-2 performs 1 dance in the June recital and will  purchase a hip-hop costume
  • Dress Code: Comfortable clothes for moving and clean tennis shoes dedicated to studio wear.

A Contemporary and Jazz dance class blends fluid, expressive movements with syncopated rhythms and dynamic choreography and a strong technical base.

  • Contemporary & Jazz performs one dance in the June recital and will purchase one costume.
  • Dancers age 7 are in Level 3 and in their “introductory” year to the skills.  Dancers age 8 are in Level 4 and are in their “mastery” year of the skills of this level.
  • Dress code for Jazz: Black leotard or fitted tank top, nude jazz shoes, black convertible tights & black jazz shorts or leggings. (All sold at studio.).

The classes below are for new students or returning students interested in strengthening their fundamentals.

In a leaps and turns class, dancers focus on mastering techniques for executing graceful turns and powerful leaps with precision and control.

  • Leaps & Turns does not perform in the June recital.
  • Dress code for Jazz: Black leotard or fitted tank top, nude jazz shoes, black convertible tights & black jazz shorts or leggings. (All sold at studio.).

Hip Hop 5-8

A vibrant and energetic dance class where dancers groove to the rhythm, learn cool moves, and express themselves through hip hop music and dance.

  • Hip Hop 5-8 performs 1 dance in the June recital and will purchase a hip-hop costume
  • Dress Code: Comfortable clothes for moving and clean tennis shoes dedicated to studio wear.

Acrobatics 5-8

A dynamic class where dancers develop strength, flexibility, and coordination through fun tumbling and acrobatics.

  • Acro 5-8 does not perform in the June recital and will not purchase a costume
  • Dress Code: Fitted clothes for moving.

Extra Ballet Technique (Intermediate/Advanced)

An additional mixed level ballet technique class for new or returning students looking to excel technically.  Dancers must be enrolled in at least one weekly class to attend this class.

Strength & Flexibility

Our Strength and Flexibility class allows dancers to enhance their physical abilities and overall well-being. This dynamic class combines targeted exercises to improve muscle strength with stretches to enhance flexibility, promoting better range of motion, technical ability, and injury prevention.

Pre-Pointe Prep

This class is designed to help ballet dancers develop the strength and technique necessary to safely transition to dancing en pointe.   Attendance of this class is one of many criteria for Pointe shoes.  For safety of bone development dancers are not eligible for Pointe shoes until age 12.

  • Pre-Pointe Prep does not perform in the June recital.
  • Girls dress code: Leotard, Pink tights, Pink or Black Chiffon Ballet Skirt, Pink ballet shoes. All of these items are sold at the studio.
  • Boys dress code: White T-shirt, White socks, black athletic pants or jazz pants or sweatpants, black ballet shoes (not sold at studio).

 

Returning Students  (by placement only classes)

For dancers with previous experience who have been placed in this level and are on our Fast Track .  If your dancer is new to our studio but with previous dance experience please contact us to schedule a placement class frontdesk@parkerdance.com.

Pas De Deux Session Class (August Only)

This session class allows dancers to practice ballet partnering technique.  Dancers must be enrolled in the extra ballet technique class on Saturdays and at least one weekly class to attend this session class.  Dates are Aug 17th, 24th, 31st.

Strength & Flexibility

Our Strength and Flexibility class allows dancers to enhance their physical abilities and overall well-being. This dynamic class combines targeted exercises to improve muscle strength with stretches to enhance flexibility, promoting better range of motion, technical ability, and injury prevention.

  • Dancers age 11 are in Level 7 and in their “introductory” year to the skills.  Dancers age 12 are in Level 8 and are in their “mastery” year of the skills of this level.
  • Girls dress code: Black  leotard, Pink tights, Pink or Black Chiffon Ballet Skirt, Pink ballet shoes. All of these items are sold at the studio.

This twice a week ballet class puts an emphasis is on self-discipline, body placement, acquiring strength and flexibility, learning ballet vocabulary and technique, and developing poise and self confidence in a nurturing environment.  Additionally, this class is designed to help ballet dancers develop the strength and technique necessary to safely transition to dancing en pointe and includes the possibility of going on pointe this year.

  • Ballet performs 1 dance in the June recital and will purchase a costume.
  • Girls dress code: Leotard, Pink tights, Pink or Black Chiffon Ballet Skirt, Pink ballet shoes. All of these items are sold at the studio.
  • Boys dress code: White T-shirt, White socks, black athletic pants or jazz pants or sweatpants, black ballet shoes (not sold at studio).

This class is designed to help ballet dancers develop the strength and technique necessary to safely transition to dancing en pointe and includes the possibility of going on pointe this year.

  • Teen Pointe does perform in the June recital and will rent a costume.
  • Girls dress code: Leotard, Pink tights, Pink or Black Chiffon Ballet Skirt, Pink ballet shoes. All of these items are sold at the studio.
  • Boys dress code: White T-shirt, White socks, black athletic pants or jazz pants or sweatpants, black ballet shoes (not sold at studio).

Teen Contemporary & Jazz 3-4

A Contemporary and Jazz dance class blends fluid, expressive movements with syncopated rhythms and dynamic choreography and a strong technical base.

  • Contemporary & Jazz performs one dance in the June recital and will purchase one costume.
  • Dancers spend two years at this level.  Year 1 is their “introductory” year to the skills.  Year two is their “mastery” year of the skills of this level.
  • Dress code for Jazz: Black leotard or fitted tank top, nude jazz shoes, black jazz shorts or leggings. (All sold at studio.).

Leaps and Turns 3

In a leaps and turns class, dancers focus on mastering techniques for executing graceful turns and powerful leaps with precision and control.

  • Leaps & Turns does not perform in the June recital.
  • Dress code for Jazz: Black leotard or fitted tank top, nude jazz shoes, black convertible tights & black jazz shorts or leggings. (All sold at studio.).

Pas De Deux Session Class (August Only)

This session class allows dancers to practice ballet partnering technique.  Dancers must be enrolled in the extra ballet technique class on Saturdays and at least one weekly class to attend this session class.  Dates are Aug 17th, 24th, 31st.

Pointe 1

This twice a week ballet class puts an emphasis is on self-discipline, body placement, acquiring strength and flexibility, learning ballet vocabulary and technique, and developing poise and self confidence in a nurturing environment.  Additionally, this class is designed to help ballet dancers develop the strength and technique necessary to safely transition to dancing en pointe and includes the possibility of going on pointe this year.

  • Ballet performs 1 dance in the June recital and will purchase a costume.

Extra Ballet & Pointe Technique (Advanced)

An additional mixed level ballet technique class for new or returning students looking to excel technically.  Dancers must be enrolled in at least one weekly class to attend this class.

We offer a 10% family discount  if more than one family member is enrolled, add the rate for each student together and deduct 10% from the total. More tuition information here.
