THE NUTCRACKER 2020 EXPERIENCE

AUDITION SCHEDULE

Before deciding to audition please read the following: (this is a short version of what will be in your packet that you get at the audition)

    • We have 10 weekends of rehearsals.
    • We rehearse Saturdays and Sundays.
    • Weekend #1 is October 3rd & 4th.
    • We have rehearsals the weekend before and after Fall Break, but not on Thanksgiving Weekend.
    • All dancers must be currently taking ballet and all must be in Kd or older.
    • Grades 5th and older must have taken ballet last year.
    • All dancers will get at least two parts in the show.
    • The older and more advanced the dancer, the more likely they will be coming multiple times over the weekend. The younger the dancer the more we try to keep them to just one afternoon per weekend.
    • This year, we will be doing a filmed movie version of the Nutcracker with on location shoots for filming.
    • Filming days will be scattered throughout our 10 week time with different weekends for different scenes (full schedule will be in packet).
    • Photo days will be arranged to take place during the filming days.
    • December 18th-20th we will hold “Premiere Viewing Parties” for families and friends to come and see the Nutcracker movie with special performances from different soloists each premiere.
    • The participation fee is $300 (can be split into two payments). This fee covers all in studio rehearsals, all dress rehearsals, all film days, a free T shirt, all costume fittings and costumes rentals, and one dvd or digital download of the Nutcracker movie.
    • Tickets for our Premiere viewing parties, additional dvds or digital downloads, photos, shoes and tights are extra.
