Character Audition Results

Congratulations and thank you to all who auditioned!

 

If you get a part and want to accept that part you will need to sign a sheet that will be available NEXT WEEK (starting Monday March 11th) at the front desk saying you will accept the part.  Some of you may be accepting more than one part.  If you accept the part(s) you are also acknowledging that you will be available for the Character Rehearsal Schedule, so please look at that and discuss these dates so everyone is clear on the commitment involved.  When you sign the acceptance sheet at the front desk you will also be asked to write down how many rehearsals you already know you will not be able to attend.  Each rehearsal has a number so you will be asked to write the rehearsal number of any rehearsal you already know you cannot attend.

Main Characters
(there will be 2 casts)

We had so much talent during the audition with so many of you capable of doing multiple parts, it was hard to decide where everyone would best fit!  These parts are all equally important and challenging in their own way. Congratulations on making one of the Main Characters!  We look forward to working with you!

 

Cast 1:  Thursday 7:00 (show 1),  Friday 2:00 (show 2), Friday 7:00 (show 3)

Munchkins (there are 3 scenes)

We needed a big group for these fun characters and you were all so good at the audition that we decided to cast ALL who auditioned!  Many of you are cast for this role in all 3 scenes UNLESS your class is listed below.

Scene 1:
In Munchkinland  (Munchkins meet Dorothy)
Scene 2:
(Ding Dong the Witch is Dead)
Scene 3:
Follow the Yellow Brick Road *(FTYBR)

 

If you are in any of the classes below you are STILL CAST, but will only be able to act in specific scenes as follows:  (This is due to your dances being immediately before or after a specific “Scene” with no time for a quick change). 

If you are in Contemporary 4:
You can only be in Munchkinland Scene 2 and *FTYBR
If you are in Hip Hop 2:
You can only be in Munchkinland Scene
If you are in Jazz 5/6:
You can be in Munchkinland Scene 1 & 2 but NOT Scene 3 (*FTYBR)

 

Note to all:  If you are a taller person you will be asked to do this part on your knees!

 

Munchkinland Special Parts

We had such great enthusiasm for this fun scene and there were so many of you that wanted to do these parts that we decided that we needed more time to decide, so we will be auditioning and casting the following special parts during the rehearsals:

The “Lullaby League” (for this one we will require that you have pointe shoes), the “Lollipop Guild”, the Mayor and the Coroner of Munchkinland.

 

Citizens of Oz

So many of you were excited to do this part and it is the kind of scene that has room for a lot of cast members. Some of you may see your number but unfortunately we CANNOT cast you in this part if you are in AIT Group3 or Hip Hop Company 1 because your class dance comes immediately before or after this scene and there is no time for any quick change.

 The following numbers will be Citizens of Oz (Unless they are in AIT 3 or Hip Hop Company 1)
#’s –  20, 22, 23, 26, 28, 35, 36, 41, 48, 52, 56, 25, 46, 47, 39, 18, 17, 16, 37, 14, 40, 34, 49, 42, 38, 10, 25, 52, 27, 29

 

Other Misc Scenes/Parts

We had some dancers who really wanted to do these parts and we are still working out the logistics involved with these scenes and the surrounding dances.  We have some fun ideas for these parts so we will be working on casting the following scenes and parts during Munchkin and Citizens of Oz rehearsals:

The “Cornfield”, the “Apple Trees”, and Toto
